Who is responsible for your data
StarkGen is operated by [Your full legal name or company name], [registered address], Ireland[, company number / CRO number]. Contact: hello@starkgen.app. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
- Photos and videos: the photos you upload and the videos made from them.
- Purchases: what you bought, when, and the amount. Stripe handles your card details; we never receive them.
- Usage and technical data: the filters you chose, job status, and basic logs (such as IP address and browser) needed to keep the service secure.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To create your account, generate your videos, keep your credit balance and process payments: performance of our contract with you.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and keep the service secure: our legitimate interests.
- To keep payment and tax records: legal obligation.
- To send service emails such as sign-in links and receipts: performance of our contract. We only send marketing emails if you opt in.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase: sign-in, database and file storage (hosted in the EU).
- RunPod: GPU servers that generate the videos. Your photo is sent there for processing.
- Stripe: payments.
- Cloudflare: website hosting and security.
- Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful safeguard.
We don't sell your data and don't use your photos or videos to train AI models.
How long we keep it
- Photos and videos: while your account is open, so you can download them again. You can ask us to delete them at any time. [If you set up automatic deletion, state the period here.]
- Account details: until you close your account.
- Payment records: 6 years, as required by Irish tax law.
Cookies and local storage
We only use what's needed to keep you signed in and to remember your last filter choices on your device. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, and you can object to or restrict how we use it. Email hello@starkgen.app and we'll reply within one month.
You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie).
Children
StarkGen isn't for anyone under 18, and photos of children must not be uploaded.
Changes
If we change this policy in a significant way, we'll let you know by email or on the site.
